Brighton full-back Pervis Estupinan was met by a large crowd after landing in Italy ahead of his medical at AC Milan.

  WHAT HAPPENED?

  Estupinan met the crowd outside the airport with the words "Happy, happy, Forza Milan", as he prepares to undergo his medical with the Italian giants. The full-back is joining AC Milan from Brighton in a deal that could fetch £16million.

• THE BIGGER PICTURE

  As is tradition in Italy – and as seen with Evan Ferguson's move to Roma – Estupinan was swarmed by fans and reporters after touching down in the fashion capital. He is set to replace Theo Hernandez at left-back for Milan, who has left for Al-Hilal.

  Estupinan is set to earn a salary of around €2.5million (£2.1m) a year, and will be hoping to add some silverware to his collection with the Italian giants.
